When we read the story about Adam and Eve, and their great fall from Gods grace for their just one sin of disobedience. We see a great example to us how of how much God dislikes sin. That just for one mistake He cut off Adam and Eve from His holy presence.
God could even be with Jesus as Jesus took up all our sins upon himself dying on a cross.
Mark 15:34 And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?
But God still loved us, the crown of His creation. He planned a way to redeem humanity from the inevitable death and Hell. (John 3:16) God sent His begotten son, Jesus Christ, into this world to set us an example how to live a sinless life, and through Jesus to give us a way back into Gods grace and His holy presence. Jesus is our one and only way to Heaven. Jesus is our greatest Advocate. (1 John 2:1) Only Jesus can advocate for us to His Father, God, for our sin. Jesus took ALL of our sins and died a shameful death on a cross. There is nothing that we can do so horrible that Jesus couldn't advocate for us. Jesus paid the ultimate price for us all. With Jesus all our sins are washed away by Jesus's blood in the eyes of God. When we ask God for forgiveness, God forgives and forgets, and doesn't ever hold our forgiven sins against us.
Romans 8:39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
